It is apparent from the photo that a man is holding the earth with his two hands. It is obvious that the drawer of the picture intends to tell us that the earth’s future is in the hands of human beings.

The picture is based on the social reality. In our daily life, people in increasing numbers attach much importance to economic development and improvement of living standard. However, they turn a blind eye to environment protection. Appropriate cases in point are global warming, sandstorms and forest cutting. The trend of environment destruction has swept the whole society and exerted a negative influence on everyone’s health. As a result, this issue should arouse the great concern of the whole society.
Therefore, it is imperative for us to take drastic and effective counter-measures. For one thing, we should appeal to the authorities make strict laws and regulations to avoid environment destruction. For another, we should cultivate and enhance people’s awareness that protecting the environment is everybody’s responsibility. Also, I am convinced that we human beings will have a more beautiful and clean home in the years to come.
