Keeping Pets?
The number of people keeping pets has increased dramatically in the past few years in China.There are pet shops,pet foods,pet clinics and all kinds of services concerning the well?being of pets in all the major cities,and even in some small towns.Every time I take a walk,I see very small lovely dogs being exercised by their owners.?
There are quite a number of reasons for people keeping small animals as pets.The most important one is obviously to drive away loneliness for individuals staying home alone,especially for old people and housewives.Besides their companionship,pets bring us a lot of pleasure as well.And there are many people who simply enjoy watching small animals.?
If I were put into the position of choosing a pet,what comes to my mind first would be a dog because dogs are believed to be the most faithful animals and also very intelligent to understand some commands.?

On Good Manners
Manners are a reflection of one’s cultivation as well as one’s education. They
are supposed to reveal what kind of person he/she is, and to determine what kind of friends he/she might have. Well-bred people pay very much attention to their manners at any time and in any place.?
In public places, it is always regarded as good manners not to talk in a loud voice. On a bus, a good-mannered man will give his seat to a female passenger standing by or someone older than him. A true gentleman always opens the door for a lady whenever he finds a chance. And all good-mannered people use polite words and never say anything vulgar or rude.?
Good manners constantly remind us that we are living in a highly civilized society,so when struggling for the improvement of our financial conditions,we should never ignore the virtues that are supposed to be attached to civilized beings.
